Information for foreigners


Historical train depot in Gniezno is one of the biggest tourist railway sites in Europe. It's construction began in 1875 and ended in 1944. It used to be used by Polish National Railways (PKP) until 2012. Since abandoning buildings our non-profit organisation has begun to establish small exhibition about history and railway technology.


It is plausible to visit Gniezno train depot. Tourists can sightsee all builings in the site and also and also get sight of growing exhibition.

In July and August it is open in certain hours:
Monday: closed
Tuesday: 1 PM - 5 PM
Wednesday: 1 PM - 5 PM
Thursday: 1 PM - 5 PM
Friday: 1 PM - 5 PM
Saturday: 1 PM - 5 PM
Sunday: 1 PM - 5 PM

In other months there is chance to visit train depot after arranging such an event before.


Our main event called "Days of steam" takes place every year in may. In 2018 it is planned to begin on may 24th and and on may 27th. Schedule in preparation.


Admission prices:
Adults: 6 złoty
Children up to 18 years old: 4 złoty
Children under 4 years old: free
